Level 4-Grievance 1D- Denied moving to arbitration- New policies and procedures issued by Mr. Joyal have changed the working conditions of the Unit D members and violated their contract language – forcing them to work flex time.
Level 4–Grievance 3A–Denied moving to arbitration-Class Action- Per Diem- Management is continuing to refuse to acknowledge per diem pay for forced work during prep time- an established past practice.
Level 4 Grievance– in the process of compromising with new timeline language-Class Action All Units- 3-16-2018- Management’s refusal to count the day they receive a grievance as Day 1 of the timeline-bumped to Level 4 due to management not responding after Level 3 meeting on 3/19
Level 3-Grievance 4A–Letter is being revised- no longer a letter of discipline Lack of identified wrong doing in discipline letter. Bumped to Level 3 due to management not responding.
Level 2-Grievance 3E–Being Resolved- Class Action- Salary Discrepancy- Bilingual Interpreting- some bilingual interpreters are being paid to interpret at meetings- others are not.
Level 3-Grievance 5A– Letter is being revised- no longer a letter of discipline Unit A member is accused of allegedly not following the chain of command in the building- resulting in a formal letter of reprimand. Management is refusing to turn over documents of evidence which are required by law.
Issues Dealt With This Month
- Management has acquiesced and has given us some of the requested documents needed to investigate grievances- 2 months after the request.
- Evaluation issues- Management must have evidence to support their evaluation claims. This evidence must be uploaded within 3-5 days into TeachPoint.
