CEA Members, rest assured that the CEA, the MTA, and the NEA are gearing up to protect your rights and the rights of all of our students and families to a safe and equitable education as we look towards the next school year. Actions are being organized and we must stand together and stand up for education at our local level, our state level and our national level.
Our legislators had it right when they passed the Student Opportunity Act and provided for input by parents, students, educators, and community. We can NOT take a step backward but must move forward and continue in the direction of having the voice of all stakeholders in education be heard and be part! They had it right when they provided funding to Districts to enable all students the right to access education, we can NOT allow them to take that right away.
Chicopee got it right when we stood together- union members, School Committee members, administration, City Councilors, the Mayor, families, parents, students- standing together to be a voice for our students, for education, for our community.
NOW MORE THAN EVER we are going to need to stand up, stand together and stand proud to represent our students, our families, our knowledge, our expertise, our passion, our compassion.
NOW MORE THAN EVER our voices need to be heard.
NOW MORE THAN EVER we need all members to participate, to act, to empower.
WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER!
