Our unified bargaining has gotten attention from local governance and other unions for how well we did. This is because of our strong collective voice.
The CEA has developed a good working relationship with administration, with regular meetings, some success from PAC, etc.
Discussion of Student Accountability – Poll
Negotiations Update – Unit A, D, and E will be signed this week. It will be available on the CEA website after signing.
Unit B had their first mediation meeting. It didn’t go well, but there will be another meeting.
Duties and Current Grievance – Coverage is not a duty because there is accountability as a substitute. We are making headway. Past practice requires mutual agreement.
City Council Curriculum Committee – CEA has a place on this committee, currently occupied by Laura. This is unpaid and at night.
School Committee Curriculum Committee – CEA has two places on this committee. This is unpaid and at night.
Open Positions – Webmaster (current webmaster will be unavailable for coaching season) and New Member Liaison
MTA Annual Meeting – May 20 and 21 in Boston. We are allotted 22 delegates.
All In Grant – From $6/member to $10/member. Partially pays for combined retirement party and summer send off.
