Open Bargaining has specific meaning in the law. Coordinated Bargaining is ok. Union has right to bring any people in so long as they have a specified purpose.
New Business
10 Minute Meetings – Hold a 10 minute meeting before January 30 to come up with ideas to spend this new money. Return before Jan 22. Celebration event on January 30 at CHS, 5:30-7.
This funding is OUR victory, let’s celebrate it and use it!
NHS to help with child care.
School Committee Meeting on February 5. Show up to meeting in CEA shirts.
MTA Winter Skills Conference – January 11, 2020 in Springfield, many workshops related to negotiations. It is free! Eastern state thinks Springfield is dangerous, so we need to show it is well attended.
Higher Ed Connections – Laura is involved in getting Higher ED more funding as well.
Old Business

Breakfasts – Need to set dates, email Laura.
Office Assistants – Need more participation if they’re to join the CEA.
Health Insurance Committee – Has not met yet.
Second Breakfast Update – Committee will meet before next All Member Meeting.
Contract Reopener for Salary Increase – Waiting for governor to release how much Chicopee will get. We will be addressing the concern of the health insurance increases.
Computer Update – Telecom’s views are very different from teachers and building admin. There is a major communication disconnect. All devices need to be restarted multiple times before resetting to previous level of need.
Let tech team and principals know of any issues. Abandoned sticky note protocol part way through.
