Students will increase scores on MCAS short answer questions
- I will implement 2 short answer open ended questions a month in the spiral back station within my classroom. Students will have examples of what type of response is necessary for which score. Those examples will be kept at the station in a ring. They will be changed out and recent class examples will be put in monthly.
- I will keep a notebook of the problems and the examples of student work.
- In addition, this focus on math writing will increase the ease with these types of problems and will increase student confidence which will then bring down the amount of times students pass on these questions. It will also increase the scores overall.
