Grievance 2 A- 2015-2016– Unit A member- specialized position (non-teaching) – scheduled to teach three daily classes in addition to performing the services of the specialized position. Management has agreed that Unit A members with specialized non-teaching positions should not have scheduled classes, but may teach lessons with a teacher. Potentially resolved- Mr. Rege has agreed that the CEA and management resolved these issues during the previous school year, and we are meeting on 10/13 to finalize.
Issues Dealt With This Month
- Two Unit E members still have not been paid for extra duty work from the previous school year. Being resolved.
- Buses still late at Fairview Elementary School- principal has stated to union president that teachers should leave students with her for late buses- except for those with rotating duty.- no longer than 10 minutes.
- Teachers – regular non SPED- not being rotated equitably for SPED meetings
- Ongoing legal proceedings
- Evaluation issues
